WP5 will focus on biological sequence analysis of exome and metagenome, their correlations and systems biology/data integration with data on biomarkers and metabolites. There will be close collaboration on data analysis with WP3 and WP4. The aim will be to correlate the variations in the human exome data with the abundance and activities of the different bacteria in the human GM and systemic responses to interventions. The outcome will be a catalogue of identified genomic variation, metagenomic variation and transcriptomic profiles on individuals, resulting in a set of hypotheses generated from the correlation of the data. Hypotheses that survive data integration across the various data layers will be used to suggest validation experiments/targets.
